Friends scheme

Friends of music@stansted

Music organisations of all sizes, from internationally famous orchestras down to the most modest of local festivals, will tell you that ticket sales come nowhere close to covering the costs of the events they put on.  Almost all concerts make a loss on the night, only mitigated by grants (such as we receive from Uttlesford and Stansted councils) and commercial sponsorship, which becomes ever harder to obtain.  This means the extra donations we receive from our Friends scheme make a real difference in keeping our heads above water and being able to plan slightly more adventurous programmes for your enjoyment.

Becoming a Friend of music@stansted entails making a minimum annual donation of £50 for individuals or £80 for couples, which will be acknowledged (unless you prefer to remain anonymous) in our concert programmes and on our website.  Becoming a Friend is a purely philanthropic gesture, and a concrete way of showing your support for the arts.

If you would like to make a smaller contribution to our finances, we are of course always glad to receive donations of any amount and at any time.

Legacies

It is possible that you might even have considered making legacies towards arts organisations in your will.  If so, we hope that the pleasure our concerts have given over the last 26 years might prompt you to consider music@stansted as a legatee.
