music@stansted members will remember Oliver Cox and Owen Gunnell performing in Stansted back in 2006. In fact we know you do, because when we asked you in our questionnaire last year what sort of things you would like to hear more of, several people mentioned them specifically.
So we got back in touch with them and booked them for our first concert of 2019. It turns out that Oliver has decided to move to California (who can blame him?) and his place has been taken by Toby Kearney. Toby does at least have an 'o' in his name so the new line-up keeps its name as the O Duo.
The original duo garnered a long list of enviable reviews (prominent among them being from the Telegraph: "phenomenal artistry...brimming with style and panache") which our own recollections of their Stansted appearance can bear out. Owen and Toby have put together a programme of original pieces and transcriptions for us which we are confident will get the same enthusiastic reception.
